The Man Behind The Brand

Hi, my name is Safiullah Barekzai. I’m a humble family man who strives for an honest living to set an example for his kids. For a little background, I graduated from a 3-year watchmaking school in Afghanistan and gained 10 years of experience working for Rado in my home country. After that In 2009, I moved to the United States and have since spent 15 years honing my craft as a watchmaker here. I attended Swatch Group training in 2012 and completed the Omega training and evaluation in 2017. In 2021, I also completed an Omega seminar and earned a certification.

In my horological journey, I proudly hold the Swatch Group U.S. Certificate Of Completion, awarded to me on October 26, 2012, in Secaucus, New Jersey. This certificate signifies my successful completion of service provider training, covering basic mechanical movement service, brand-specific case/bracelet construction, refinishing, water resistance testing, CD/extranet navigation, and brand quality directives.

Continuing my journey, the Swatch Group Certificate US0098, bestowed upon me on January 12, 2017, in Secaucus, New Jersey, marks the triumph of passing the Omega watchmaker evaluation 1120 and completing co-axial training, illuminating my path with newfound expertise and mastery.

The Omega 3 Day New Product Seminar

In the ever-evolving landscape of horology, the Swatch Group Certificate Of Participation, received on October 29, 2021, in Secaucus, New Jersey, celebrates my participation in the Omega 3 Day New Product Seminar. Delving into Calibers 8500/8900 and Caliber 8520 & Ladymatic, this seminar expanded my horizons, enriching my journey with invaluable insights and knowledge.
